I recently had the pleasure of helping a young family in Coventry declutter their whole house, we worked for six, 8-hour days and the results were liberating.
Their objective was simple; ‘To be liberated from their clutter; to live a simplified, uncluttered life with less ‘stuff’; and become more organised, ‘a place for everything and everything in its place’ which will bring more freedom into their lives which is time to spend together as a family.’
My clients had got themselves into a bit of a pickle, and called me for help. In the words of my client, “The Horror and the Salvation”, here are the ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos of the living room.
In line with Diggory’s ethos, nothing should go to landfill, so we worked tirelessly to find a home for every decluttered item. Bags of towels, toys, bedding, clothes and DVD’s were donated to the families chosen charity The Coventry Refuge and Migrant Appeal.
My clients donated reading glasses and hearing aids to charities who send them to developing countries; speak to your opticians for advice, or donated them directly to Vision Aid.
A large donation of household items went to local high street charities and furniture was donated to The Shakespeare Hospice.
Computer and IT equipment were donated to Weee-RecycleIT where everything is re-used or recycled responsibly.
Many other items were sold via social media, Gumtree and EBay; and some items were given to family and friends.
I am delighted to say my clients are no longer living in a cluttered unorganised home, they now have a beautiful home, where everything has its place and everything they have, they both love and need.
My clients sent me these photos with their permission to publish them in the hope that it would give other cluttered families the courage to pick up the phone and call me to help.
If you have a clutter challenge and want to get your home back for the benefit of all the family, then give me a call 0770 104 7671 and let’s get a date in the diary.
