I love to wear linen, it gives me a feeling of relaxed elegance and one of my favourite designers is Terry Macey and Angelika Elsebach.
Their clothes are unique, born out of two people’s passion for beautiful natural fabrics, for a love of traditional costume and a desire to create clothing for women not led by fashionable trend. Their clothes have a quality of freedom and individuality. They design for women of every size, shape and age and have a classic simplicity that is timeless, but never static.
Terry and Angelika both have a background in art and design. They met over 23 years ago and amalgamated their different talents to create a clothing company that is not only personal but has an ethos for real craft rather than mass production.
“Detail is extremely important to us and is our signature to each garment. We take pride in the construction and finish of each individual piece, only possible within a small working environment. The seamstresses and pattern cutters, work together to fulfill our philosophy. They take time and care and it is reflected in the clothes.”
Just have a look at the images their clients have sent in wearing their Terry Macey ensembles, I particularly love this ladies outfit, adore the hat!
The clothes are made using beautiful natural fabrics in their Somerset workshop, where they work closely with a small team of local seamstresses, and pattern cutters. The clothes can be purchased from their Studio or from one of the events that they exhibit at throughout the year.
They also accept commissions and invite clients to their charming studio in Somerset for the fittings.
Dare to be different…
